Basketball Recap: Palos Verdes' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Palos Verdes came into Saturday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 59-47 victory over the El Segundo Eagles on Saturday. Given the Sea Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Eagles are ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palos Verdes now has a winning record of 7-6. As for El Segundo, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Palos Verdes will be taking part in a tournament against Legacy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for El Segundo, they will take on Canyon Springs in a tournament on Monday. One thing working in Canyon Springs' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
