Volleyball Recap: DeKalb Takes a Loss

DeKalb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Barons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While DeKalb was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23, 25-16.

Donovin Harlan paced DeKalb's offense, picking up four kills. Harlan got some help from Elliott Neal and his 12 assists.

DeKalb's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Fort Wayne Northrop, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. DeKalb is set to challenge their familiar foe New Haven at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Northrop will take on rival Fort Wayne South Side at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
