Softball Game Preview: Spokane Owls vs. Sparta Trojans

Spokane hasn't had much luck against Sparta recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Owls will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Spokane's last matchup with Hollister could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Owls lost 10-4 to the Tigers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 2, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Sparta was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They came up short against Norwood, falling 15-2.

Allye Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one double. Those triples marked the first that she has hit this season.

Sparta's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Spokane, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
