Softball Recap: Leslie County Beats Middlesboro for Their Third Straight Victory

Leslie County waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Middlesboro Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory.

Lauren Osborne was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Turner, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Leslie County's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Middlesboro, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leslie County will welcome Paintsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Middlesboro, they will host Harlan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Green Dragons have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
