Recap: Oak Grove Panthers vs. California Pintos
The Oak Grove Panthers missed an extra point against the California Pintos on Friday and it came back to haunt them. Oak Grove was just a hair shy of victory and fell 40-39 to California. Oak Grove's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Oak Grove lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Spencer. Despite the final result, he rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Spencer was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. Jordan Hall was another key contributor, rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Oak Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for California, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-2.
Oak Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. California will take on Odessa at TBD on Friday.
