Carmel has gone a perfect 4-0 against Niles Notre Dame recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Corsairs will look to defend their home court against the Dons at 6:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Carmel: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Niles Notre Dame has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

On Wednesday, Carmel came up short against Chicago Mt. Carmel and fell 2-0.

Carmel was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Niles Notre Dame also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Benet Academy by a score of 2-0. The Dons haven't had much luck with the Redwings recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

While Niles Notre Dame was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21.

Niles Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-25.

Carmel beat Niles Notre Dame 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Corsairs repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
