Staunton is 8-2 against Riverheads since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Staunton Storm will be playing in front of their home fans against the Riverheads Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Riverheads will be up against a hot Staunton team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 15. Staunton took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 71-33 win over Waynesboro. Given the Storm's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Little Giants are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Riverheads, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 66-44 margin over Waynesboro on Friday.

Staunton pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for Riverheads, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10.

Everything went Staunton's way against Riverheads in their previous meeting back in January, as Staunton made off with a 68-47 victory. Does Staunton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverheads turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
