Soccer Recap: Amelia County Takes a Loss

Amelia County lost against Southampton back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Raiders took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. That's two games in a row now that Amelia County have lost by exactly two goals.

Abraham Zuniga and Hudson Crowder scored all three of Amelia County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Amelia County and nudges their season record down to 1-3. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matchups. As for Southampton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Amelia County didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Prince Edward County on the 16th. As for Southampton, they have also already played their next game, a 9-1 loss against Bruton on the 16th.
