Austin is 0-3 against Galena Park since December of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Austin Mustangs will be playing at home against the Galena Park Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m.
Austin suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 48-25 walloping at the hands of Sterling. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Austin has suffered against Sterling since December 18, 2020.
Meanwhile, Galena Park can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 40-7 win over Sharpstown. The team ran away with 33 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Austin has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Galena Park, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
Austin suffered a grim 53-28 defeat to Galena Park in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Austin was down 37-13.
