Baseball Recap: West Mesa Comes Up Short

West Mesa came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Manzano Monarchs by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

West Mesa saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles and one run. The dominant performance gave Rodriguez a new career-high in doubles.

West Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Manzano, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.
