Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wickliffe). Their defense stepped up to hand the Brooklyn Hurricanes a 12-0 shutout on Monday. Wickliffe have beaten Brooklyn the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Brooklyn has come to flipping the script.

Wickliffe's offense was hitting Brooklyn from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Ava McGarry led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Wickliffe's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Brooklyn, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Wickliffe will face off against Kirtland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brooklyn, they will take on Barberton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
