While Pinecrest Academy Cadence's victory against Needles wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 1-0 on Saturday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bailey Cox paced Pinecrest Academy Cadence's offense, picking up three kills. Cox got some help from Alessandra Chamnong and her seven assists. Finally, Cox was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

The victory got Pinecrest Academy Cadence back to even at 8-8. As for Needles, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coincidentally, Pinecrest Academy Cadence and Needles will both be playing Gila Ridge the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Hawks at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 10:45 a.m.
