Volleyball Game Preview: American Fork Cavemen vs. Lone Peak Knights

American Fork hasn't had much luck against Lone Peak recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cavemen will face off against the Knights at 6:30 p.m.

American Fork is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Skyridge, who was ranked first at the time (American Fork was ranked 11th). The Cavemen lost 3-0 to the Falcons on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Lone Peak can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lehi as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0).

Lone Peak walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 25-21.

American Fork's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Lone Peak, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

American Fork might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lone Peak when the teams last played back in September. Can the Cavemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
