Southeast Polk got themselves on the board against Waukee on Thursday, but Waukee never followed suit. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 4-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 on Thursday.

Southeast Polk is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Waukee, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8.

Southeast Polk wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Davenport North on the 13th. As for Waukee, they will head out to challenge Dowling Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Maroons at the right time seeing as the Maroons are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
