Basketball Recap: North Stafford Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 25-25 at halftime, North Stafford was not quite Stafford's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stafford Indians. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 50-41.

Jackson Wallace was his usual excellent self, going 11 of 17 en route to 26 points for Stafford. The matchup was Wallace's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amario Van Norman, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for North Stafford and nudges their season record down to 4-15. As for Stafford, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Stafford will take on Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stafford, they will challenge Massaponax at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stafford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season.
