Basketball Preview: Saluda Tigers vs. Mid-Carolina Rebels
Saluda is 8-2 against Mid-Carolina since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Saluda Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Mid-Carolina Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Mid-Carolina took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Saluda, who comes in off a win.
While Tigers fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. They put the hurt on Ridge Spring-Monetta with a sharp 63-38 victory on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, a victory for Mid-Carolina just wasn't in the cards last Saturday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They took a blow against Rock Hill, falling 73-33.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jaquon Mckinney, who earned eight points plus eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshon Williams, who earned four points.
