Palm Desert came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Redlands Terriers, posting an 81-49 win. Given the Aztecs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Terriers are ranked 762nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palm Desert's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Preciado led the charge by going 8-for-11 en route to 21 points. Those 21 points gave Preciado a new career-high. Paul Dreisbach was another key player, shooting 54% from the field on his way to 18 points and five boards.
