Basketball Game Preview: Cass Lake-Bena Panthers vs. Bagley Flyers

The Cass Lake-Bena Panthers will challenge the Bagley Flyers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cass Lake-Bena has given up an average of 66.1 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Cass Lake-Bena is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 78-44 loss at the hands of Red Lake County Central. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Mustangs are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Bagley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past Blackduck 87-48 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Flyers in their matchups with the Drakes: they've now won three in a row.

Bagley's victory bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Cass Lake-Bena, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
