Baseball Recap: Midland Park Has No Trouble Against Park Ridge

Midland Park never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Park Ridge Owls. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won three in a row.

Ryan Fleming was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Conor Shortway, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Midland Park's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Park Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Midland Park will head out on the road to square off against Waldwick at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Park Ridge, they will head out to take on Lyndhurst at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Golden Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Owls' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
