Basketball Recap: Guthrie Takes a Loss

Guthrie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Kingfisher Yellowjackets, falling 61-18. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 407th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 23rd).

Guthrie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Kingfisher, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Guthrie has already played their next game, a 70-27 loss against Perkins-Tryon on the 24th. As for Kingfisher, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-27 win against Woodward on the 24th.
