Basketball Recap: Rylan Brooks' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cedaredge over Plateau Valley + How To Watch

Cedaredge fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Plateau Valley on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 54-51. The loss continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Cowboys: they've now lost four in a row.

Cedaredge's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylan Brooks, who posted 12 points. Zach Mannon was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Plateau Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was London Mitchell out in front who shot 53% from the field en route to 21 points and five boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mitchell has scored at least a third of the Cowboys' points. Another player making a difference was Colter Ralston, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Cedaredge's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Plateau Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Cedaredge will be home for the holidays to greet Coal Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins' defense better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 67.8 points per game this season. As for Plateau Valley, they will head out to square off against North Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
