The Classical Academy extends home winning streak to four

Recap: The Classical Academy Titans vs. Widefield Gladiators

The Classical Academy Titans waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 48-38 win over Widefield. That's another feather in the cap for The Classical Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Jordan Wenger was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of The Classical Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Miller, who scored nine points.

Widefield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Michael Davenport, who scored 12 points. Amari Taylor was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

The Classical Academy pushed their record up to 10-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Widefield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.

The Classical Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Falcon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Classical Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season. As for Widefield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmer has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 609 points over their last nine matchups.
