Recap: St. Mary's vs. Amity

Amity were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past St. Mary's 51-7.

Amity's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 30 points in the first half. Meanwhile, St. Mary's couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 30-0 heading into the break. The offense for Amity continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points to put the game away.

Senior Jonathan Mather, who rushed for 109 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success. Senior Tyler Parr was in the mix, too, providing Amity with 3 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving Amity a 1-0 record and starting St. Mary's off at 0-1.

Amity will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Neah-Kah-Nie at 7:00 PM. St. Mary's are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Lost River next week at 7:00 PM.
