Soccer Game Preview: Great Bridge vs. Princess Anne

The Great Bridge Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Princess Anne Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Bridge's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Princess Anne's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Friday just wasn't the day for Great Bridge's offense. They fell just short of Ocean Lakes by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The loss put an end to Great Bridge's undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, the match between Princess Anne and Warhill was close at halftime, but Princess Anne turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. Princess Anne was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Warhill on Tuesday. Princess Anne's winning goal came courtesy of Nina Murthy.

Princess Anne has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Great Bridge, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Everything went Great Bridge's way against Princess Anne in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Great Bridge made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Great Bridge since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
