Baseball Recap: Ballard Beavers vs. O'Dea Fighting Irish

After flying high against Cleveland on Wednesday, Ballard came back down to earth. The Beavers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the O'Dea Fighting Irish on Friday. The Beavers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Ballard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beau Reid, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Elliot Dotson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Ballard has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for O'Dea, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
