Basketball Recap: Dixie Heights Comes Up Short

Dixie Heights was the 64-57 winner over Lafayette when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Colonels fell 59-55 to the Generals on Monday. The Colonels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dixie Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lafayette, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Dixie Heights will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Notre Dame Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026. Lafayette and Mercer County will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
