Ryle is 8-2 against Scott since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Ryle is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Ryle didn't have quite enough to beat Tates Creek and fell 7-6. The Raiders have struggled against the Commodores recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Scott came up short against Frederick Douglass on Saturday and fell 8-3.

Jay Race was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Race wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jake Seeger, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Ryle's loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Scott, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-16.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ryle has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Scott struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Ryle came out on top in a nail-biter against Scott when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 6-4. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
