Independence is a perfect 10-0 against Stone Bridge since May of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Independence will challenge Stone Bridge at 6:00 p.m. Independence is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Independence's victory against Briar Woods wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Independence never let Briar Woods get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Independence's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Briar Woods is ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Stone Bridge had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Panthers 3-0.

Stone Bridge's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6-1. As for Independence, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-0.

Everything went Independence's way against Stone Bridge in their previous matchup last Thursday, as Independence made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Independence since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
