Baseball Game Preview: Palo Verde Panthers vs. Spring Valley Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Palo Verde will face off against Spring Valley. Palo Verde will venture away from home to take on Spring Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palo Verde will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Palo Verde is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Spring Valley on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Jace Jefferies was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Luke Herrera was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two doubles.

Palo Verde always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Palo Verde's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Spring Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-2.
