Basketball Game Preview: Tattnall Square Academy Trojans vs. First Presbyterian Day Vikings

Tattnall Square Academy and First Presbyterian Day are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Tattnall Square Academy Trojans will face off against the First Presbyterian Day Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Tattnall Square Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, Tattnall Square Academy didn't have too much trouble with Mount de Sales Academy as they won 68-52. The Trojans pushed the score to 61-41 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cavaliers cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, First Presbyterian Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 59-49 to Southland Academy.

Tattnall Square Academy will need focus on slowing down Jones Handberry, one of several First Presbyterian Day players who made an impact when they last played. He almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Oliver Bateman, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Tattnall Square Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3. As for First Presbyterian Day, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.

Everything came up roses for Tattnall Square Academy against First Presbyterian Day in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured an 89-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tattnall Square Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
