The Scholars Guild Academy Spartans will square off against the Peachtree Academy Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scholars Guild Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Scholars Guild Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: Lyndon Academy, who was ranked sixth at the time (Scholars Guild Academy was ranked first). Scholars Guild Academy put the hurt on Lyndon Academy with a sharp 16-5 win on Monday. Fans of the Spartans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Madison Kenny was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, Scholars Guild Academy got a massive performance out of Noelle Boeckman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. The dominant performance also gave Boeckman a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Alanna Maher, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs.
Scholars Guild Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Peachtree Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Covington Academy on Tuesday, sneaking past 11-9.
Peachtree Academy pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Scholars Guild Academy, their record now sits at 7-0.
Scholars Guild Academy couldn't quite finish off Peachtree Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can Scholars Guild Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
