Baseball Game Preview: Russell County Warriors vs. Dothan Wolves

Russell County is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Dothan an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Russell County Warriors will look to defend their home field against the Dothan Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Neither Russell County nor Dothan posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Russell County's offense. They came up short against Calvary Christian on Friday, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Dothan came up short against Mosley on Friday and fell 6-2.

Dothan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tripp Benton, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Russell County's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Dothan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18.

Russell County couldn't quite finish off Dothan when the teams last played back in March of 2022 and fell 3-1. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
