Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Taft walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Eagle Rock Eagles 3-2 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Toreadors.

Taft was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 20-25, 25-11, 15-8.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 35-13. As for Eagle Rock, they moved to 27-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Taft nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
