Calvary Christian is a perfect 4-0 against River Ridge since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Calvary Christian Warriors will host the River Ridge Royal Knights at 6:00 p.m. Calvary Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Friday, Calvary Christian got the win against Crystal River by a conclusive 9-1. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.
Morgan Spinner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday River Ridge sidestepped Gulf for a 5-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Royal Knights in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won nine in a row.
River Ridge also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Lilly Jackson gave up three earned runs on four hits and racked up 16 Ks. Jackson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Gutauskas, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mia Schwaner, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
River Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Calvary Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Calvary Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like River Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Calvary Christian's way against River Ridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Calvary Christian made off with an 8-0 victory. Does Calvary Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will River Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
