Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Seattle). They had just enough and edged out the Eastside Catholic Crusaders 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory West Seattle has posted against Eastside Catholic since April 26, 2022.

Stella Eley was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Lila Whaley also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

West Seattle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

West Seattle's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Eastside Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Coming up, West Seattle will challenge Seattle Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastside Catholic, they will welcome Eastlake at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
