            Baseball Recap: Monroe County Falcons vs. Clinton County Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            12 must be Monroe County's lucky number: they beat Clinton County with that score not once but twice  on Thursday. The Falcons beat the Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  12-9. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season,  with their most recent  victory being a  12-9  win  on Thursday.

 Caden Geralds made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Geralds was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with five  RBI. Those  five  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Noah Hagan was  excellent,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.  Briar Bourque was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
Monroe County's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-10. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Clinton County,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 14-13.
 Looking ahead, Monroe County will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Edmonson County  at 5:30  p.m. As for Clinton County, they will venture away from home to  square off against Southwestern  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
