Basketball Recap: Penn Has No Trouble Against Michigan City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Penn). They enjoyed a cozy 64-47 win over the Michigan City Wolves on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Kingsmen with their most commanding win of the season.

Penn's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Coolman, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Alexander Hawthorne, who put up 11 points.

The win made it two in a row for Penn and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Michigan City, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.

Penn won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chesterton at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Michigan City, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against South Bend Adams at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Bend Adams will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Michigan City surely won't give up without a fight.
