Soccer Game Preview: Edison vs. Highlands

The Edison Golden Bears will head out to square off against the Highlands Owls at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Edison is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Edison's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They skirted past Seguin 1-0. That's two games straight that the Golden Bears have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Highlands earned a 3-1 win over Seguin on Saturday.

Highlands has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those eight games. Edison's record is now 10-5.

Edison couldn't quite get it done against Highlands in their previous meeting back in February as they fell 3-1. Can Edison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
