Basketball Recap: Willowbrook Comes Up Short

Willowbrook was the 41-38 winner over Leyden when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Willowbrook Warriors took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leyden Eagles on Friday. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Willowbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Leyden, their victory bumped their record up to 8-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willowbrook will challenge Christ the King at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Christ the King knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Willowbrook likes a good challenge. As for Leyden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Buffalo Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leyden is facing Buffalo Grove at the right time seeing as Buffalo Grove is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
