Baseball Game Preview: South Oak Cliff Bears vs. Sunset Bison

For the second straight game, South Oak Cliff will face off against Sunset. The Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Bison at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. South Oak Cliff will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

South Oak Cliff let Anderson Vargas and Isaac Casas run wild. Vargas scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Casas scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Vargas a new career-high in doubles (two). Isaiah Nelson II was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.

South Oak Cliff pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sunset, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal.
