Softball Recap: Catskill Takes a Loss

Coxsackie-Athens hit Catskill with a six-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cats came up short against the Indians, falling 14-6. The Cats haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Catskill now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Coxsackie-Athens, the win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Catskill will be playing in front of their home fans against Maple Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Coxsackie-Athens, they will square off against Johnstown at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Sir Bills have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
