Volleyball Game Preview: Sterling Jets vs. Johnson-Brock Eagles

Sterling is 0-10 against Johnson-Brock since September of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Jets will face off against the Eagles.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Sterling and Southern meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Jets came up short against the Raiders, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-9, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Johnson-Brock earned a 2-0 win over Sacred Heart on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Irish recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Johnson-Brock took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-8.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 1-23. As for Johnson-Brock, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.

Sterling might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Johnson-Brock in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Jets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
