Basketball Recap: Watsonville Beats Monte Vista Christian for Their Fourth Straight Win

Watsonville extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Max Aceves. The Watsonville Wildcatz took down the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs 86-67 on Monday thanks in part to Aceves, who went 12 for 22 en route to 27 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Those five rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Watsonville's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Monte Vista Christian, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

Watsonville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-52 victory against Marina on the 15th. As for Monte Vista Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-51 defeat against North Monterey County on the 15th.
