Softball Recap: Panguitch Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Milford, Panguitch was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the El Capitan Eagles 7-6.

Brooklyn Harland made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off 13 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kadee Harland, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Katie Hatch was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Panguitch has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for El Capitan, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10-1.

Coming up, Panguitch will head out to challenge Pinnacle at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. El Capitan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
