Baseball Recap: Churchill Has No Trouble Against Eagle Point

While Churchill put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Eagle Point. The Lancers blew past the Eagles 12-0. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Chase Hartley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Churchill is undefeated when Hartley posts three or more RBI, but 8-12 otherwise. Cannon Mann also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Churchill hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matchups.

The win got Churchill back to even at 12-12. As for Eagle Point, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Churchill will take on Sheldon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eagle Point, they are taking a road trip to face off against North Eugene at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
