Football Game Preview: Fort Bend Elkins Knights vs. Fort Bend Dulles Vikings + How To Watch

After each having a week off, the Fort Bend Elkins Knights and the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Fort Bend Elkins was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 28-24 to Fort Bend Bush. The Knights gained 131 more yards on the day, but it was the Broncos that made the best use of them.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Johnny Jay Palmer, who rushed for 144 yards and two scores. Robert Evans was another key player, rushing for 73 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Fort Bend Dulles was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 77-0 loss at the hands of Ridge Point. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 940th, while the Panthers are ranked 21st).

Fort Bend Elkins now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Fort Bend Dulles, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Fort Bend Elkins against Fort Bend Dulles in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
