Softball Game Preview: Butler Golden Tornado vs. Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils

The Butler Golden Tornado will head out to take on the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Butler has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Butler fell victim to Hempfield Area and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 18-0 to the Spartans. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Tornado in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Mt. Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to Canon-McMillan.

Mt. Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Butler, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Butler came out on top in a nail-biter against Mt. Lebanon in their previous matchup on April 1st, sneaking past 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Tornado since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
