Softball Recap: Vista Meridian Meridian Eagles vs. Samueli Academy Firewolves

Vista Meridian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They came up short against the Samueli Academy Firewolves, falling 20-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Firewolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-6 last Thursday.

As for Samueli Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

For Samueli Academy's part, Kristina Perez was incredible, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Perez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adri'Anne Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

As of now, neither Vista Meridian nor Samueli Academy have any future games scheduled.
