Basketball Recap: Manchester Valley Falls Despite Big Games from Owen Caine and Colton Enderle

Manchester Valley's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 59-47 to the Winters Mill Falcons. If the Mavericks were looking for revenge after losing 57-52 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colton Enderle and Owen Caine certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Enderle went 9 of 19 en route to 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Caine went 6 for 12 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. What's more, Caine also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Manchester Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1. As for Winters Mill, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Manchester Valley and Liberty will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Winters Mill, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Winters Mill Falcons take on the Francis Scott Key Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Winters Mill is facing Francis Scott Key at the right time seeing as Francis Scott Key is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
