Volleyball Game Preview: Point Arena Pirates vs. Mendocino Cardinals

Point Arena hasn't had much luck against Mendocino recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pirates will venture away from home to challenge the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Point Arena came up short against Anderson Valley and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mendocino duked it out with Grace Christian Academy on Tuesday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Point Arena's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Mendocino, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Point Arena might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Mendocino when the teams last played back in September. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
